Sasha Banks & Vince McMahon Meet

– WWE is no stranger to talking to former and current UFC stars. They have even signed several names such as Matt Riddle and Ronda Rousey with massive success. Now, they are speaking to Georges St-Pierre as the former Welterweight and Middleweight Champion revealed.

“I was at an ESPN event in the United States, the awards ceremony, and I got approached by the WWE,” said St-Pierre to TVA Sports. “I had just retired and it’s a form of competition, but of course it’s also scripted. So, I don’t know if I’d be willing to relive that. Perhaps for a special event; so I could taste it. But, I don’t know if I’d want to sign a contract and do it every week and making it a living. Maybe for a special appearance.”

The sure-fire UFC Hall of Famer said he gave WWE officials the numbers of his agents. He did not reveal if his agents were contacted by WWE.

St-Pierre was 26-2 before retiring from MMA in February of this year. He is considered the greatest welterweight in history with nine title defenses before vacating the title in 2013. He would return four years later, when he submitted Michael Bisping to win the Middleweight Championship. After not being able to get a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov, the now 38 year old decided to retire.

– Sasha Banks apparently spoke to Vince McMahon on May 23 about her WWE future. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the meeting was productive and some think Banks could return later in the summer.

At WrestleMania 35, Banks & Bayley lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles to the IIconics. This did sit well with Banks, who thought the promotion would give them a lengthy run with the newly introduced belts and they also learned that Bayley was being sent to SmackDown.

Since then, Banks has remained silent on the matter; outside of posting some cryptic comments on social media.
