Makwan Amirkhani added another impressive win to his resume today at UFC Stockholm, by submitting noted grappler, Chris Fishgold.

Amirkhani charged out with a flying knee but Fishgold blocked it and circled away. Moments later, Fishgold took an accidental poke to the eye. Fishgold threatened with a head kick moments later, and the two exchanged leg kicks. Midround, Amirkhani countered a Fishgold rush beautifully with a level change and takedown. Fishgold put Amirkhani on the defensive, however, with a triangle-choke attempt that the featherweight worked out of. In an ensuing scramble, Amirkhani slapped on a choke right before the round ended.

Amirkhani attempted another jumping knee not long into round two. Fishgold continued to press forward and he scored with a nice right. Amirkhani taunted Fishgold by sticking out his chin, and not long after, he sent him to the deck with an illegal/accidental kick to the cup. Fishgold took a bit of time to recover, and resumed pressuring Amirkhani. Moments later, Amirkhani shot in for a TD but Fishgold countered with a guillotine choke attempt. Amirkhani defended, however, and took the top position. As Fishgold tried to scramble out, Amirkhani trapped him with an anaconda choke that eventually produced the tap.
