Meghan Markle just got some truly terrible news when it was reported that a senior royal has turned on her, giving her an offensive nickname and predicting that her marriage will only last three years.
The U.K. Mirror reported that the unnamed senior royal has nicknamed Meghan “the degree wife,” which is apparently British slang for “gold digger,” and said that her marriage to Harry will “only last three years.” It was previously reported that royal staffers found Meghan to be so difficult to work with that they nicknamed her “Duchess Difficult.” It has also been said that Meghan’s father-in-law Prince Charles has given her the negative-sounding nickname of “Tungsten” because just like the super-tough metal, she’s “tough and unbending.”
This comes after we reported that Prince Philip had warned Harry not to marry Meghan prior to their wedding last year. Philip allegedly told Harry to be careful dating Meghan because “one steps out with actresses, one doesn’t marry them.”
Meghan Breaks Royal Rules
Meghan has caused quite a bit of trouble since joining the royal family, repeatedly breaking royal protocol by doing things like continuing to be outspoken about her liberal political views. Last month, Meghan was slammed for refusing to meet with President Donald Trump, as many believed that she did this only because he is a conservative. This is a big problem because the royal family is supposed to remain politically neutral at all times.
Though Meghan claimed that she needed to remain on maternity leave when Trump visited the United Kingdom, she resurfaced just one week later when she publicly attended the Trooping of the Colour.
“…The moment Trump had gone, Meghan suddenly popped up at the Trooping of the Colour, in an open-top carriage, looking in radiant good health and with a permanently beaming grin,” journalist Piers Morgan wrote. “So call me suspicious, but I don’t think her absence from Trump’s visit had anything to do with her baby, and everything to do with her dislike of her President. And that, I’m afraid, is unacceptable.”
“And we all know why she did it – she hates Trump with a passion, and views him, as she once said on TV, as a ‘divisive misogynist,'” he added, referring to her skipping Trump’s visit. “It’s an opinion she shares with all her liberal celebrity friends who attended her wedding, from the Clooneys and Oprah to Sir Elton John, Serena Williams and James Corden. And my firm guess is that she deliberately snubbed Trump because she was absolutely terrified of being photographed with him and looking like she may be enjoying his company – rather than clubbing him over the head with a giant hammer.”
