WWE Stomping Grounds may not be one of the biggest pay-per-views and the main titles may not be the best of bookings, but there are some matchups that are worth watching. So, let us take a look at the upcoming matches and provide you with our predictions.
This is expected to be the match with the most twists and turns of the night. Despite it being a Steel Cage Match, it is expected that Brock Lesnar might cash in on the current WWE Champion.
At the moment, most fans are saying that Dolph Ziggler will take the title from Kofi Kingston. However, his reign will not last long if rumor is to be believed, as some state Brock Lesnar will cash-in on Dolph Ziggler and become the WWE Champion on SmackDown.
It is not a stretch to think that Brock might be doing this on Stomping Grounds. With SmackDown Live moving to Fox, the WWE is undoubtedly looking for a main attraction. Even though they mistakenly believe that to be Brock Lesnar, a cash-in makes sense from the WWE’s point-of-view.
In the past, Bayley has dealt with Alexa Bliss a number of times. Unfortunately, it did put Bayley’s career on the backburner, as The Goddess Of The WWE took the title from her and started her reign on the top.
While many people believe that Bayley should come out victorious this time, I do not think that will be the case. Remember, Alexa Bliss has some help on her side, more specifically Nikki Cross. The duo could cause some serious destruction in the WWE and I cannot wait to have another Alexa title reign. She has done amazing in the past, so I would like to see it again.
Okay, this one is tricky. The WWE has hinted that Brock Lesnar could turn out to be the special guest referee. So, I am thinking the outcome will be subject to where this match is scheduled. If it is placed later on the card, it could be a case of Brock Lesnar being the special guest referee. That being said, there could be a special role for Shane McMahon here.
Despite interference, I do not think Seth Rollins will drop his title. Seth Rollins is set for a lengthy reign, providing Vince McMahon does not get any silly ideas. We will see at Stomping Grounds.
The feud between Becky Lynch and Lacey Evans is far from over, so the two are meeting again at Stomping grounds. With Lacey Evans having the backing of none other than Vince McMahon, it is expected that Evans will do it this time and grab the Raw title from Becky.
If recent rumors are to be believed, the WWE believes that the popularity of Becky Lynch is waning and that it is time for a new champion. Evans is quite green in the grand scheme of things though. While I adore her character, she is not quite there yet where wrestling acumen is concerned. However, I do believe she will become the Raw Women’s Champion.
After Rey Mysterio had to forfeit the title back to Samoa Joe, it is now time for Ricochet to take on Big Joe. However, I do not believe he will be taking the title just yet, especially with Vince at the helm. That being said, since it is Ricochet, I am sure this will be an excellent match. I have yet to see a bad match that involves him.
Even though Heavy Machinery is one of the more interesting tag teams to watch, I doubt Daniel Bryan and Rowan will drop their tag team titles just yet. Much like the Ricochet match, this is a pay-per-view where Heavy Machinery can show their worth. I, for one, look forward to it and I hope they put on a good match.
This should be the best match from a technical standpoint. Unfortunately, I fear it might be put in the preshow again. Still, it is one of the matches I look forward to the most.
Since the WWE has been putting a lot of attention on Drew Gulak lately, it is likely he will take the title from Tony Nese this time. While Tozawa will get close to the victory, I believe Drew Gulak will run away with the title.
The thing between Roman Reigns, Shane, and Drew McIntyre is going to last for a while yet. It will not end at Stomping Grounds, so I believe Drew McIntyre will take the win here. Possibly with some assistance from The Best In The World.
A cross brand competition with little consequence. That being said, this is a good matchup nonetheless. However, it might be a little predictable with Kofi Kingston having his own match and Big E only just returning from injury. Therefore, I think Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens might take the win here.
