Lori Loughlin Now Blaming USC for the Mess She Got Her Family Into

As a trial nears for Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli for their respective roles in the infamous college admissions scandal, it has been revealed that the pair blame the University of Southern California for the situation they are in now and that they want to “expose” the school’s admissions practices.

US Weekly reported that BJ Trach, the lawyer representing Loughlin and Giannulli, just sent a letter to prosecutors in which she explained that USC is represented by the same firm as her clients. Though Trach said in the letter that this would not be a conflict of interest for either side, she added that USC “suggested that Latham’s representation of Ms. Loughlin and Mr. Giannulli poses foreseeable conflicts because it is possible that USC may have civil disputes with one or both sometime in the future.”

A source said that the “Fuller House” actress is determined to take USC down by exposing their college admission practices to the world.

“Lori feels that USC is going to do whatever is necessary to attempt to financially ruin her family. USC accepts extremely substantial donations, which will typically result with a child from that family enrolling,” the insider explained. “Lori wants to expose USC’s admission practices and looks forward to her day in criminal court.”

The source went on to say that it would be USC’s “prerogative” if they chose to file a civil lawsuit against Loughlin and Giannulli.

“Lori and Mossimo will defend themselves, and would anticipate a very robust and thorough discovery process of USC’s admissions and large financial donations in which a child became a student at the university,” the insider said.

This adds a new layer to a case that is already very complicated. While it would be interesting to see what admissions policies USC had in place that made this scandal possible in the first place, this also seems like yet another instance of Loughlin blaming absolutely anyone else for her situation rather than taking responsibility herself.

Even if she is able to “expose” USC in the way that she hopes, it won’t change the fact that she knowingly paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribe money to get her daughters into the school. If Loughlin really wants to be redeemed in the eyes of her fans, she needs to start by finally accepting responsibility for what she did.
