Jon Moxley Wins Gold + Becky Lynch Challengers

Jon Moxley has been a busy guy since leaving WWE. For all his hard work, he has now won a new championship belt in NJPW. Also, who is next for Becky?

-With Dean Ambrose officially dead and gone, Jon Moxley has been a busy boy.

Since getting free and clear of WWE, Moxley has not been shy. He has opened up on podcasts, venting his frustration with how life was for him in WWE. He made a surprise debut at the end of All Elite Wrestling’s first-ever PPV, Double Or Nothing. And he had signed a deal to appear with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

That debut for NJPW would see him challenge Juice Robinson for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship-a match he won. What we’ve seen from the match so far looked impressive, which is no surprise-Mox being a good hand and all. One interesting note, it was very strange to see Moxley wrestling in typical wrestling attire, after coming to the ring in Shield garb for years in WWE.

Also, looks like Moxley has fine-tuned his finisher, renaming it the Death Rider in the process.

It seems like a safe bet that this US Championship win is just the start of bigger and better things for Mox in 2019.

-It’s been hard not to notice the prevalence of Charlotte Flair on both RAW and SmackDown lately. This is no doubt tied to both the new Wild Card rules, but also thanks to Ronda Rousey’s absence.

While we should expect something between Becky Lynch, Flair and Lacey Evans, it is sounding more and more like prior plans for Flair and Lynch at WrestleMania 36 aren’t as solid anymore. What that means, is we may be slowly progressing toward a bigger Lynch-Flair program in 2019.

While nothing has been indicated yet, it would seem like SummerSlam would be an ideal stage for the culmination of such a big women’s match.
