Country music legend Dolly Parton just spoke out to reveal the reason why she always goes to bed with a full face of makeup on, and her reasoning has her fans all over the world in stitches.
Daily Mail reported that Parton, 73, said that she always wears makeup to bed just in case she is faced with an emergency in the middle of the night and has to be rescued by a team of hunky firemen.
“You never know if you’re going to wreck the bus, you never know if you’re going to be somewhere in a hotel and there’s going to be a fire,” she explained. “So I leave my make-up on at night and clean my face in the morning.”
Parton went on to say that she is so worried about maintaining her signature hairstyle that she never goes on any of the rides at her Dollywood theme park in Tennessee.
“With all my hair I got so much to lose, like my wig or my shoes. I don’t like to get messed up,” she said. “I’m gonna have some handsome man mess it up, I don’t want some ride doing it.”
This comes one year after Parton revealed that she never felt beautiful when she was younger, and only got confident after turning to plastic surgery.
“I did whatever I needed to build my confidence,” she explained.
These days, Parton is so focused on maintaining her good looks that she takes Vienna sausage and Tabasco sauce with her wherever she travels.
“If I can’t eat whatever they’re cooking, I can always have that,” she said.
When Parton isn’t performing, she enjoys spending time at her home with her husband Carl Dean, who she has been married to for over fifty years. It’s nice to see that Parton is staying as busy as ever as she gets older and that she has maintained her signature sense of humor!
