Dillon Danis Bellator 222

It’s been somewhat quiet on the Dillon Danis front in recent months. But in advance of his bout tomorrow at Bellator 222, the talented grappler has made some comments that probably will prompt mixed reactions….Surprised?

If you’ve followed Danis the last couple of years, you know he’s made plenty of headlines on account of his grappling accomplishments, which led him to being a training partner with Conor McGregor. But, much of the attention Danis has captured has been due to his polarizing and brash statements he’s made.

Well, tomorrow night the 25-year-old will take on Max Humphrey, in what will be the second MMA fight for Danis. While talking with the media this week, here’s some of what Danis had to say about his abilities and his MMA career (quote via MMA Junkie):

“I see what I want,” Danis said. “I don’t know, it’s weird for me. I knew I could beat these guys five years ago. I’ve been training with guys. I don’t know. I just know what I’m destined for. That’s why people are like, ‘How can you deal with this hate?’ I know what I’m going to do. So (expletive) what everyone thinks, really.

“I’m a different level than everybody. I feel like there’s no one that can even compare to me and my mind in the game. That will show. I’m going to take that experience with me and keep going up until one day I’m going to fight for that belt, and I’m going to be like, ‘I’ve (expletive) seen everything.’”

Now sure, some people will scoff at these comments. But, it does seem like Danis is extremely confident in his abilities for real. While some of the things he says may be to make headlines etc, not all of it is an act.

One thing is for certain, however, if Danis loses to Humphrey tomorrow, he’s going to get piled on via social media big time.
