Who’s Next For Goldberg?

– As most know by now, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is set to return to the WWE for a one-night affair, working the Saudi Arabia event on June 7th. He’s probably going to work a match, but his opponent has yet to be named.

Having said that, Bobby Lashley took notice to Goldberg’s announced comeback and decided to comment on it via social media, where WWE’s former Universal Champion replied back. Their banter back and forth raised some eyebrows and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter chimed in on this recently, stating there is a very good chance the two superstars could lock up in June.

The WWE Universe will have to wait and see what happens. It’s important to note that while it seems that Goldberg will be in action, nothing has been confirmed around his role for the event either way, and he could very well do something that doesn’t require in-ring action (i.e. host of the show, or cut a promo). Only time will tell; however, all arrows seem to be pointing to a Goldberg versus Bobby Lashley bout in Saudi, come June.

– WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle signed a new WWE multi-year deal recently, and according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is seems as if he might be transitioning into a backstage producer role for the company. Something of this nature needs some on-the-job training, therefore, as per the report, he is shadowing backstage producers currently to learn the ins and outs of this new job.

But is this the last the WWE Universe will see the likes of Kurt Angle in front of the camera? There’s always still a very good possibly that Angle gets some action onscreen, in a non-wrestling role, whether he decides to manage a talent or perhaps do something else on camera, outside that squared circle. Regardless, it seems like Kurt will be around the WWE for a while longer, relaying his expertise in this business and potentially adding some creative input along the way.
