Things got a little heated on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” on Tuesday night when the leftwing host tried to take “The View” host Meghan McCain to task for her criticisms of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. McCain, however, was not about to back down.

Fox News reported that Omar has repeatedly been accused of anti-Semitism for comments she has made in both speeches and on Twitter, yet liberals like Meyers have given her a free pass because of her radically leftwing views. Meyers went so far as to accuse McCain of putting Omar’s life in danger simply by voicing her disagreement with various comments that she has made.

“I do think it’s fairly dangerous and you brought it up after Congresswoman Omar had some death threats against her,” Meyers began. “Do you think, you know, she has obviously now stated that she needs to be more careful with her language, don’t you think other people who talk about her need to be more thoughtful as well? Or do you stand by those comments of tying her to this, her rhetoric to this synagogue shooting?”

“I don’t think I tied her to it in particular,” McCain replied. “I’m calling out what I see as anti-Semitic language and when you’re talking about — “

“But even after, you called her out even after she apologized for it,” Meyers interjected. “I do want to establish the timeline.”

McCain responded to his rude interruption with the following eloquent argument:

“I think that Democrats are hedging on this and I think it’s very dangerous. And I think [Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer and I are in alignment about Israel’s stance in geopolitical politics. I think it is of the utmost importance and I think she is bringing her party to extremism on this. And I think we have to look to Europe and what’s happening over there and in British politics. Anti-Semitism is very common and I see it happening over there and I worry about it happening over here. I stand by everything that I’ve said and if that makes me unpopular in this room or in front of you, so be it.”

When Meyers continued to defend Omar, McCain asked him “Were you bothered by her language on 9/11?” She was, of course, referring to Omar’s infamous description of 9/11 as an event in which “some people did something.”

“I thought it was taken out of context,” Meyers stammered, “and I think if you watched that whole speech — “

“Would you give President Trump the same leverage if he had said the same thing?” McCain fired back. “I just think you have to give people the same credence.”

The relevant portion of the interview begins after the 6:30 mark in the following video.

Once again, we have to applaud McCain for exposing the blatant hypocrisy of the liberal media. The left will twist literally anything President Donald Trump says to make it fit their anti-conservative narrative, yet when it comes to Democrats, the leftwing media preaches about the importance of forgiveness and will use any excuse to give them a free pass. Omar has repeatedly made anti-Semitic statements and even belittled the greatest tragedy that our nation has faced in this century, yet liberals like Meyers are more angry at people like McCain for daring to call out their latest liberal darling.

This interview serves as a reminder that politicians like Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez pose danger to this country. They have the media completely transfixed and ready to defend them at all costs, regardless of how radical their beliefs and proposals are. McCain is one of the few conservatives who even still has a job on network television, so it’s up to her to use her platform to call out these dangerous politicians while she still can. Kudos to her for managing to come out on top when Meyers was clearly trying to back her into a corner, and for making him look stupid in the process.
