Marie Osmond is calling for her fans to send prayers this week after her newborn granddaughter was rushed to the ICU.

Daily Mail reported that the 59-year-old singer took to social media to say that her daughter Brianna Blosil Schwep, 21, and her cinematographer husband Dave Schwep, 42, had welcomed a baby girl, but that the infant had immediately been rushed to the ICU for reasons she did not disclose.

“Asking for prayers for my precious granddaughter born this evening 6lbs 10 ounces,” Marie wrote on Twitter. “So thankful she was able to be taken to children’s ICU in one of our amazing @CMNHospitals that she is in their care!”

Marie is the mother of thirteen children, eight of whom are biological and five of whom were adopted. Her son Michael tragically committed suicide back in 2010 when he was just 18 years old. This was devastating for Marie, as she has always had a close bond with her family.

This comes weeks after it was announced that Marie would be taking Sara Gilbert’s place as a cohost of the CBS talk show “The Talk.”

“I have so much gratitude in my heart today. I am honored to be here,” Marie said after the announcement was made. “And, I am so excited to be here. To be able to sit at this table with these beautiful women is just a dream come true for me. I always wanted sisters.”

Marie rose to fame when she was just a child as a member of the musical Osmond family, which consisted of eight boys and her as the only girl. She recently wrapped up an 11-year residency in Las Vegas, where she performed with her brother Donny.

Please keep Marie’s newborn granddaughter in your thoughts and prayers!
