The Department of Transportation just announced that they have launched an investigation into the growing number of airport bans against Chick-fil-A. In a brief statement, the DOT explained that they are investigating whether or not religious discrimination has played a role in the bans.

“The Department has received complaints alleging discrimination by two airport operators against a private company due to the expression of the owner’s religious beliefs,” the DOT said in their statement. “FAA’s Office of Civil Rights has notified the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) and Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) that it has opened investigations into these complaints. The FAA notes that Federal requirements prohibit airport operators from excluding persons on the basis of religious creed from participating in airport activities that receive or benefit from FAA grant funding.”

This comes after airports in the cities of Buffalo, New York, and San Antonio rejected bids from Chick-fil-A to open locations in them. Liberals have long been trying to get Chick-fil-A shut down in as many places as possible, claiming that the restaurant chain is anti-gay because of their long history of making donations to Christian organizations that do not support gay marriage. Immediately after San Antonio banned Chick-fil-A from their airport, Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton announced an investigation into the move.

“When I announced my investigation of the City of San Antonio for its blatant discrimination against Chick-fil-A, I also brought this matter to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s attention,” Paxton told The Daily Caller. “I had complete confidence Secretary Chao would recognize, as her office has today, that the City of San Antonio’s intolerant actions warrant investigation.”

The hateful bigotry towards Chick-fil-A from the left has gone way too far, so it’s good that these investigations could potentially hold liberals accountable for discriminating against the brand. Chick-fil-A is a good Christian restaurant chain that does not deserve all of the hate that has been thrown their way. We can only hope that these investigations result in consequences being given to the bigoted liberals trying to take Chick-fil-A down!
