Brock Lesnar’s MITB Cash-In Announced, Double Or Nothing Buyrate

– This year’s Money in the Bank (MITB) contract was won by Brock Lesnar, who was a last minute entrants in the match. After teasing a cash-in, Paul Heyman took to Twitter to announce that Lesnar will use the contract this Monday on RAW against Universal Champion Seth Rollins.

Back at WrestleMania 35, the main card opened with Lesnar demanding that his match take place first. After tossing Rollins around the ring before the bell, the match was started. When the referee was not looking, Rollins hit the low blow and curb stomp to claim the title.

The timing is very interesting as WWE teased Lesnar announcing his cash-in last week, but that did happen. We know Lesnar is scheduled to appear at Friday’s Super ShowDown with no opponent named at this time. Seeing how the title match is booked for RAW, Lesnar or Rollins (or a combination of both) could be defending the belt at Super ShowDown. As of now, Baron Corbin vs. Rollins is being advertised for WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia. With the low ratings and the attention All Elite Wrestling is getting, WWE could be looking to secure some big numbers by advertising the match early. Still, there is no guarantee that Lesnar will actually cash-in on Monday as WWE could be working fans.

– According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW’s Double Or Nothing did 98,000 buys; which includes sales from pay per view and streaming services. Three quarters of the audience came from United States with England also doing strong numbers. Australia, Germany and Canada also played a role in that figure.

For this being AEW’s first event, those are strong numbers. The event had social media buzzing, especially with Jon Moxley (formerly known as Dean Ambrose in WWE) wrecking havoc after Chris Jericho defeated Kenny Omega.
