Authors Of Pain Return

WrestleMania 35 is in the history books, but we are still talking about the historic event. In one of the best matches of the night, Shane McMahon was able to defeat The Miz in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Early in the match, The Miz’s father, George Mizanin, got involved.

When George spoke on The Jobbing Out podcast, he revealed that he was never actually supposed to get in the ring. That changed as Shane decided to alter things on the fly.

“I wasn’t supposed to get in the ring,” said George. “[Shane McMahon] was calling me into the ring and I thought, ‘What’s going on? I’m not supposed to get in the ring.’ And I got in the ring and that’s where he actually knee’d me. I broke a rib and I guess I gave him a black eye. And I guess Michael [The Miz] had three staples put into his head that day.”

George getting the ring helped the match and the image even saw several memes created. While George has not appeared on TV since WrestleMania, The Miz and Shane are not finished. They will meet at Money in the Bank inside a steel cage.

– The WWE is short on tag teams, but they have some good news coming. Post Wrestling reports reports that Akam is healed and ready to return, so the Authors of Pain (AOP) could be returning to TV any week.

Since Akam went down with an injury, Rezar has not appeared on RAW.

With SmackDown having no tag champions due The Hardy Boyz vacating the titles because of Jeff Hardy’s injury, there is a chance AOP leaves RAW. WWE could just make the switch with no explanation or use the Superstar Shake-Up as a reason.

205 Live General Drake Maverick should also be returning as their manager.
