Movsar Evloev came into UFC St. Petersburg with a perfect MMA record, and the M-1 Global bantamweight champ has kept it, by defeating featherweight SeungWoo Choi.

Both featherweights came out aggressively and both landed some hard punches early on. Midway through the opening round, however, Evloev swept Choi to the mat. Eloev controlled the top position for some time, and although Choi eventually got back to his feet, he took some shots along the cage.

Eloev came out hunting for a takedown in round two, and Choi did a good job of defending initially, before finally getting brought to the floor. As Choi tried working his way back up, Eloev illegally kneed him to the head, and the foul cost him in a point.

Seconds into round three, Eloev took Choi down with a beautifully timed shot. Choi once again, worked his way back to the fence in an effort to get back up. Eloev stuck to him, however, and kept the South Korean against the cage. Choi finally broke free and went for a spinning elbow, which Eloev saw coming in and countered with a level change.

After the final horn, there was no doubt that Russia’s Eloev would be awarded the win, and he was.
