Rumored Call-Ups for the Superstar Shakeup

The superstar shakeup is around the corner. While it most certainly means a lot of WWE’s superstars will be moved to different rosters, it could also mean call-ups for NXT superstars!

Even though the WWE has called up a number of NXT superstars before the shakeup, a call-up could still be in the cards for some NXT stars. Naturally, the WWE Universe has its favourites, so let us take a look at the top picks.

Kairi Sane

One of the biggest names being thrown around for a possible call-up is none other than former NXT women’s champion Kairi Sane. In fact, rumor has it that Sane will be called up alongside Io Shirai and form a new tag team to take on the IIconics, The Sky Pirates.

Kairi Sane currently has a match scheduled against NXT women’s champion Shane Bazler. If Kairi gets called up to the main roster, it could leave the outcome of the title defense quite obvious. Still, Kairi will undoubtedly be a big gain for the main roster and a big loss for the NXT roster.

Io Shirai

As mentioned in above, there is a rumor that Paige will be managing Io Shirai and Kairi Sane as a new tag team called The Sky Pirates. If this rumor is true, then Io Shirai should be heading to the main roster alongside Kairi next week.

Adam Cole (The Undisputed Era)

The obvious choice for the main roster would be none other than Adam Cole (bay bay!), preferably with The Undisputed Era by his side. Of course, bringing Cole to the main roster brings big problems for NXT. The recent call-ups have left the roster with a lack of star power. As it stands, the roster is left with Cole, Velveteen Dream, and Gargano to keep things flowing. That being said, Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic have impressed. So, they could be next in line for some major feuds on the NXT brand and possible title shots in the future.

Shayna Baszler & the Horsewomen

Ever since the arrival of Shane Baszler, it has been clear that the WWE is planning an altercation between the Horsewomen of the WWE and those of the UFC. Of course, with Ronda Rousey’s WWE future in doubt, it is difficult to say when the move will play out.

If Shayna Baszler is called up to the main roster, it would mean she is set to lose her NXT title soon. She has been quite dominant as a champion though, so I do not really see it happening against anyone else but Kairi Sane, Io Shirai, or Bianca Belair. The latter may be most likely if both Baszler and The Sky Pirates are heading to the main roster.
