Major IMPACT Rebellion News + New Star Makes A Statement

–IMPACT wrestling held it’s Rebellion PPV last night from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The show made it’s fair share of news.

Former WWE Superstar Gail Kim returned to the ring to battle Tessa Blanchard in what was a strong showing for women’s wrestling. But the big story comes from the show’s main event, which saw Brian Cage do battle with another former WWE Superstar, Johnny Impact. Impact entered the show as the company’s world champion, but that was not how the show ended.

Brian Cage defeated now former champion Johnny Impact to claim the championship belt, but at what cost?

Per the IMPACT Twitter feed, Cage was rushed to a local emergency room following the show.

The belief is that the new champion suffered some manner of back injury following a spot off of the entrance ramp.

-Following that IMPACT Championship match, the new champion met who is likely to be the next man to challenge for his newly won strap.

New Japan Pro Wrestling alum Michael Elgin showed up to attack Brian Cage at the end of the show.

Elgin is someone who could have drawn interest from either WWE or All Elite Wrestling, in theory. That he landed with IMPACT is a positive sign for the company. While IMPACT has had more than it’s fair share of struggles and issues,  they have been putting out an improved product of late.
