Jon Jones Delivers Fiery Response to Israel Adesanya’s Recent ‘Hunting” Comments

Israel Adesanya recently let it be known that he has Jon Jones in his sights, and clearly that got back to the UFC’s light-heavyweight champ, who had a fiery response.

Adesanya is preparing to battle Kelvin Gastelum tonight at UFC 236 for the interim, middleweight title. The rising star was tapped for the opportunity following his decision win over the legendary, Anderson Silva in February.

Well, recently Adesanya relayed that he’s interested in fighting Jones down the line, since, according to the “The Last Stylebender”, he’s already “killed” on GOAT in Silva.  Jones caught word of the comments clearly, as since then he tweeted out this:

If you think you killed 44 yr old Anderson, you didn’t. I’m not really sure what fight you’ve been watching. You got past the legendary GOAT, now come fuck with the King of the jungle. I’ll make you call me daddy by the third.

How about that huh? Now, Jones isn’t the only person to point out that Adesanya didn’t put away Silva. The fight was somewhat competitive really (although, some have argued Adesanya may have taken it a bit easy).

But, that aside, you have to commend Adesanya for being up for the fight, as he’s not big for the 185 weight class. Jones, on the other hand, will very likely compete at heavyweight at some juncture.

First things first, however, and the vaunted striker needs to get by the hard-hitting Gastelum.
