Is Lio Rush Done + Did Superstars Turn Down New Deals?

Lio Rush has been the Man of the Hour over the past few days, and perhaps not for the best reasons in the world. We previously reported that the former 205 Live Superstar was getting a lot of heat backstage. There was apparently some tension between the mouthpiece for Bobby Lashley and Superstar Finn Balor. Balor, as the report goes, offered Rush some feedback which Rush was not keen on taking.

If you’ve seen this week’s RAW, you’d know that Lashley was featured on the show (he is kicking off a program with The Miz), but Lio Rush was nowhere to be found. No one made any mention of him either-not The Miz, nor the announcers.

The lack of presence, coupled with a lack of any mention at all, does not bode well for Lio Rush and his future on RAW (and perhaps with WWE as a whole). Rush has edited social media accounts to seemingly be ready for future independent bookings, but thus far, no official word on his status has been provided.

-Over the past several months, much has been reported about Superstars being unhappy, and some receiving generous offers to re-sign with WWE. Part of this is no doubt attributed to All Elite Wrestling-Vince McMahon does not want to lose talent to the fledgling promotion.

One such group of Superstars, who were both reportedly unhappy and at one point asked for their release? The Revival.

The tag team was not granted their release. Instead, soon after they got a bit of a push as they became RAW Tag Team Champions. The push might have fizzled, however-they lost the titles, and last night on RAW were on the downside of a back-shaving segment.

Wrestling Observer is reporting that they were among the Superstars offered lucrative new deals. The figure that’s been mentioned puts the contracts for each of Dash and Dawson at $500,000 per year, and a five year term. However, both men have, thus far, turned down the offers.
