Dana White Says Stipe Miocic, Not Brock Lesnar, Could be Next For Daniel Cormier
It looks like Stipe Miocic could get the rematch with Daniel Cormier's he's been driving for after all.
Following WrestleMania, there’s been a lot of talk about when Brock Lesnar will return to the UFC and battle Daniel Cormier. But, during a press conference today, Dana White reported Stipe Miocic could be next for “DC”.
Ever since Cormier stopped Miocic last summer to win the heavyweight title, Lesnar has been regarded as one of the front runners to face the star. Since Lesnar lost the WWE belt at WrestleMania last weekend, many folks speculated that could clear the way for his Octagon return.
But, during a press conference today to promote the UFC’s summer scheduled, White relayed that he hasn’t even talked to Lesnar yet. As a result, White said that a rematch between Cormier and Miocic could be next.
So, we’ll see what happens. But most fans would (should) agree that Miocic is more deserving of that fight than Lesnar.
Dana White says he has not spoke to Brock Lesnar and a fight between he and Daniel Cormier is not close, might not happen next. White says DC's next fight might be a rematch against Stipe Miocic.
