Robbie Lawler has been booked for a rematch, but the former welterweight champ is going to be facing Tyron Woodley for a second time, and not Ben Askren.

Following Lawler’s controversial, submission loss to Askren earlier this month at UFC 235, there was a plenty of talk about the two being booked for a rematch (although Askren argued the win was legit and wanted to move on). Well, ESPN is reporting that Dana White’s confirmed Lawler and Woodley have verbally agreed to fight on June 29th. The UFC is holding a Fight Night card in Minneapolis on that date.

Woodley faced Lawler back in 2016, and ended the latter’s reign as WW champ via a first round, knockout. “Ruthless” has fought three times since then and has gone 1-2.

Woodley, meanwhile, faced Kamaru Usman at UFC 235 and dropped a one-sided, decision loss to the now, current champ.
