Former UFC champions Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez make their ONE Championship debuts at ONE: New Era from Tokyo.
Both will be competing in opening round matches in grand prix events for their respective weight divisions.
Johnson, the longest-reigning UFC flyweight champion in promotional history, takes on Yuya Wakamtsu. For “Mighty Mouse,” this is a chance the prove himself in another country and a new home.
Alvarez, meanwhile, begins his quest in the lightweight grand prix in hopes of securing gold in a third promotion. Along with capturing the UFC title, he is also a former Bellator champion.
Awaiting Alvarez will be Timofey Nastyukhin.
