Justin Gaethje has turned himself into must-see-TV when he steps inside the Octagon.
The former World Series of Fighting champion scored his second consecutive main event, first round victory Saturday night, finishing Edson Barboza at UFC on ESPN 2 from Philadelphia.
Gaethje became an All-American wrestler for the University of Northern Colorado before embarking on his MMA career, and the current coaching staff and school showered him with appreciation via social media after his win.
“Justin Gaethje out there striking with Bear paws,” current UNC head coach Troy Nickerson wrote. “Heaviest hands in MMA.”
