Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood coronavirus concert + donation

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are one of the most well-known and beloved couples in Country music. The couple married in 2005, but to hear them gush about each other, you’d think they were newlyweds.

At the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year Award gala honoring Dolly Parton on Friday in Los Angeles, Trisha Yearwood explained that her husband is the master of the honey-do list.

“He is whatever-it-takes-guy,” she said of Brooks’ skills as a handyman around the house. “He is. I saw him looking up a video on how to repair the sink in the bathroom, and he did it from watching a video.”

But Yearwood says his prowess doesn’t end at fixing faucets. He can also pick out clothes for her and get it right.

“If I go, ‘Hey, I need a dress for tonight and I don’t have time to go shopping,’ he could buy the dress and it would be perfect. I’m telling you, he is amazing.”

A skill to be envious of, indeed.

Garth Brooks adores Trisha right back

But the “Friends In Low Places” singer wasn’t going to let his wife best him in the endearment department as he followed up Trisha’s comments about him by going all in with praise for his wife.

“That’s very sweet. I can one-up her,” Brooks said. “I needed some help stringing fence once, and she put some Carhartts on and we went out and strung fence, and I’ve been in love ever since.”

And despite both being working musicians with three Grammy’s between them, the couple still finds time to be together while they work. For example, he’ll accompany her when Trisha performs on Valentine’s Day this year.

“I have told him that he is my arm candy that night — he’s just going to be cute,” she told The Post with a laugh. “The Rainbow Room is going to be elegant and romantic, so I’m looking forward to it.”

“You know, this is going to sound so corny,” Yearwood prefaced, “but it’s really kind of Valentine’s Day every day.”

What a rare thing to find two people married for so long who are still so in love.
