Seth Rollins Pulled From Shows, SmackDown Star Asked To Rejoin NXT

– Seth Rollins entered the Royal Rumble Match with a bad back, but that did not stop him from earning the opportunity to challenge for a world title of his selection. The next night on RAW, we learned Rollins would use his win to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35. Before the segment could end, Lesnar dropped Rollins with 6 F5s.

Afterwards, it was revealed that Rollins was hurt and would miss some in-ring time. There was confidence in WWE that Rollins would still be ready for WrestleMania 35 on April 7. Now, WWE’s website has removed Rollins from wrestling all RAWs and live events, with the exception being this Monday and April 1; which happens to be the final RAW before the big show. He could of course appear and just cut promos without get physical.

WWE could simply be cautious as they do not want to lose one of their marquee matches or the injury is possibly worse than originally thought. With Lesnar barely booked for any shows from now until WrestleMania 35, Rollins will have to build the program and rely on his mic skills to sell the match. No matter what WWE says publicly, they have to somewhat worried that the Royal Rumble Match winner could miss a marquee match.

– In NXT, wrestlers have the chance to be well feature but lose that major push as they get lost on the main roster. A fine example of that is Tye Dillinger, who has struggled to do anything on the main roster.

Dillinger has been out since October 2018 after requiring hand surgery. When asked on Twitter about returning to NXT, Dillinger said he already tried.

Since All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was announced, several wrestlers in WWE seem to be double thinking what is next. WWE has showed some concern by offering their current and potential superstars  large salaries with a decent push promised. SmackDown’s Dillinger has dropped several hints on Twitter that he would be interested in at least speaking with AEW.
