Women’s WrestleMania Plans + Brock Lesnar At Elimination Chamber?

-Now that we are on the Road to WrestleMania, there is going to be plenty to discuss over the next 60+ days. Things kicked off officially with Sunday’s Royal Rumble. The event planning kicked into high gear on Monday Night RAW, as each of the number one contenders made their intentions clear.

It turns out that Ronda Rousey may not have been overly happy with how things worked out on RAW. The current RAW Women’s Champion came out for her open challenge, and from the moment she hit the ring, the fans were either chanting for Becky Lynch or otherwise booing the champion.

Per Wrestling Observer, Rousey was upset at the reception. With rumors of Rousey possibly exiting WWE after WrestleMania, one wonders if this will play into her decision. It may be a little alarming that the champ may be so sensitive, considering that wrestling has heels and faces and that status can change rapidly (just ask Elias and Rusev).

On top of this, there’s still discussion that the perceived WrestleMania main event may not be fully set. As we saw on RAW, Rumble winner Becky Lynch chose to fight Ronda Rousey at this year’s WrestleMania. This is a match, one on one, that fans have wanted since their Survivor Series clash had to get scrubbed.

Now we are learning that WWE may still be planning the oft-rumored triple threat match in the main event slot. In this scenario, they would be adding Charlotte Flair to the equation, per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer. On one hand, that would certainly seem to be plenty of star power to close out WrestleMania. On the other hand, however, I think what currently exists-Rousey and Lynch, one on one, could be perfect if left as is.

-In other news, we have a status update for Brock Lesnar. The Universal Champion officially knows his WrestleMania opponent (Seth Rollins). Now we have word as to whether we will see Lesnar work Elimination Chamber.

According to Wrestling Observer, the current Universal Champion is not expected to work the February PPV. It’s not a tremendous shock, given Lesnar’s recent PPV history.
