Meghan Markle Apparently the Reason Prince Harry Is ‘Grumpy’

Meghan Markle has been in the British royal family for less than a year, but experts are saying that she has already brought out many changes in Harry, and not all of them are positive.

Duncan Larcombe, a reporter who has covered the royal family for years, stated that Meghan is not very well liked by palace staffers and Harry’s friends alike.

“All of Harry’s staff have always thought he was fantastic, but the two of them [together] are high maintenance,” Larcombe said, according to Fox News. He added that Harry has become “quite grumpy and aloof from his own inner circle of staff. Harry was always very pally with [them], so this is very unlike him … What people love about Harry is that he wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s down to earth, a normal guy trapped in the royal world, and he doesn’t take himself very seriously. But now he is.”

Larcombe went on to blame this on Meghan’s background in Hollywood, saying that she has given more demands to her staffers than any royal before her.

“As an actress, Meghan expects perfection,” the veteran reporter said. “But when you’re in the royal family, you have to learn that it’s not about you, it’s about what you represent.”

Another royal insider said that Harry’s friends see Meghan as a social climber who is only nice to those who she thinks can get her to where she wants to be in life.

“In the early days, Harry’s closest friends tried to help Meghan out when she was the new girl on the block,” the source explained, “but she didn’t really need them after she got the ring on her finger.”

Meghan forces Harry to give up hunting

Meghan has further separated Harry from his friends by forcing him to give up some of the activities he once enjoyed with them. One of these activities is hunting, which was one of Harry’s favorite hobbies throughout his life. As an anti-gun animal rights activist, Meghan abhors the practice of hunting and forced Harry to give it up completely.

Given the fact that Meghan comes from the liberal world of Hollywood, it is not too surprising to learn that she has exhibited some diva-like behavior and has trouble holding back her liberal views. That being said, joining the British royal family is a big adjustment for anyone, especially for an American who must learn an entirely foreign set of customs and rules. We can only hope that Meghan is simply having trouble adjusting to her life as a royal and that she will become more grounded as she finds her footing in the coming years.
