‘To Catch A Predator’ Star Chris Hansen Is Arrested!

Fans are in shock right now after “To Catch A Predator” host Chris Hansen was arrested and charged on Monday for issuing bad checks and failing to pay thousands to a vendor.

Fox News reported that Hansen, 59, was arrested in Stamford, Connecticut and was released without bond later that day. His arrest stems from an incident in which he asked Peter Psichopaidas, the owner of Promotional Sales LTD, for various pieces of merchandise including tons of mugs and T-shirts for marketing events in 2017. The merchandise cost $12,998.05 and Hansen agreed to pay in full before delivery.

However, when Hansen finally did send a check for the items months later, it bounced. Hansen apologized and promised Psichopaidas that he would make a partial payment, but he never did and the vendor filed a police report in April of 2017.

The arrest affidavit states that Investigator Sean Coughlin called Hansen, who promised he would come to the Stamford police station and that his wife would deliver a check, but neither of these things happened. Psichopaidas said that in April of 2018, he received a check for $13,200 from Hansen, but this check bounced as well.

“Peter … I truly thought I had this covered,” Hansen allegedly said at the time. “I am scrambling to get it done. Please give me till the end of the day. I sold a boat to cover the rest of this and need to pick up the payment this afternoon.”

Once again, this turned out to be a lie, and payment never came. Finally, a warrant was issued for Hansen’s arrest, which led to him turning himself in on Monday.

It’s sad to see such a respected television host find himself in trouble with the law. This serves as a reminder that while people we see on television may seem like they are living carefree and successful lives, we never really know what is happening behind closed doors. Clearly, Hansen is going through some struggles right now, and we pray that he can get through them and get back on his feet!
