Megyn Kelly Gets the Last Laugh After NBC Fires Her

It’s been three months since Megyn Kelly was abruptly fired by NBC over comments she made about blackface. Now, however, Kelly has gotten the last laugh over the network as she has just secured her $69 million payout from them.

Breitbart reported that Kelly was in the second year of a three year contract when NBC fired her in October after she questioned why white people were not allowed to wear blackface for Halloween costumes.

“What is racist?” Kelly said on her 9am show. “Truly, you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid, that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as a character.”

Though she apologized profusely afterwards, NBC used this as an opportunity to get rid of the conservative star. Afterwards, exit negotiations between Kelly and NBC dragged on for months as the network desperately tried to finagle a way out of paying her the massive payout. Unfortunately for the network, however, Kelly ended up coming out victorious and is walking away with a massive $69 million payout.

What Kelly said about blackface was wrong, and she admitted that from the start. Had she been a liberal, NBC undoubtedly would have forgiven her and she would have been given a second chance much like Jimmy Kimmel was after he went so far as to wear blackface on his show. Unlike Kimmel, however, Kelly is a conservative, which means that the leftwing NBC was just waiting for any excuse they could find to fire and blacklist Kelly. Liberals like Kimmel are given chance after chance when they make a mistake in the public eye, yet conservatives like Kelly and Roseanne Barr are blacklisted for life for the slightest infractions. We’re glad to see that Kelly got the last laugh over the politically correct NBC. This time, the conservative is the one who is laughing all the way to the bank!
