Maroon 5 Starting to Cave Under Liberal Pressure to Drop Out of Super Bowl

These days, liberals seem to be on a mission to suck the fun out of pretty much everything that we enjoy in this country. Their latest target is the upcoming Super Bowl, which liberals have declared to be “offensive” because failed race-baiting quarterback Colin Kaepernick has still not been signed by a football team since leaving the San Francisco 49ers. Now, Maroon 5 has been forced to cancel their press conference ahead of their Super Bowl halftime performance because of this pressure from liberals.

Daily Mail reported that though halftime acts traditionally hold a press conference on the Wednesday before the Super Bowl, the NFL announced on Tuesday that Maroon 5 would not be doing so.

“‘Maroon 5 has been working hard on a Pepsi Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show that will meet and exceed the standards of this event,’ the statement reads,” the NFL said in a statement. “As it is about music, the artists will let their show do the talking as they prepare to take the stage this Sunday.”

This comes after liberals spent months calling on musicians to refuse to perform during the Super Bowl, with artists like Rihanna and Pink caving to the pressure. A Change.org petition calling for Maroon 5 to drop out of the Super Bowl had reached nearly 112,000 signatures as of this writing.

“Sign to tell Maroon 5 to drop out of the Super Bowl halftime show in solidarity with Kaepernick and players who #TakeAKnee,” the petition reads.

Liberals cry racism while ignoring Kaepernick’s losing record

Liberals are furious about the fact that Kaepernick has not been signed by another NFL team since opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers back in 2017. The left claims that Kaepernick has not been signed again because of racism, as it was him who started taking a knee during the national anthem to protest against racial inequality. Liberals conveniently ignore the fact that outside of his distracting race-baiting protest, Kaepernick was a lackluster quarterback who led the 49ers to a losing record in 2017. Setting aside his race-baiting ways, Kaepernick is simply not a talented enough quarterback to be signed by another team.

Of course, liberals could care less about whether or not Kaepernick has enough skill to be signed by another team, as they never miss an opportunity to scream racism when it comes to something like this.

Performing during the Super Bowl halftime show is a huge honor that musicians dream about all their lives. It’s sad that what should be a highlight of Maroon 5’s career is being ruined by loudmouth liberals who clearly don’t actually know anything about football. We can only hope that Maroon 5 stays strong and does not cave to the pressure by dropping out at the last minute!
