Lady Gaga Stops Concert to Claim Pence Isn’t a Christian

During a concert in Las Vegas over the weekend, pop star Lady Gaga took a quick break from performing to launch a sickeningly bigoted attack on Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen over their strong Christian faith.

Hollywood claims to be against bigotry and persecution of religious beliefs unless, of course, those beliefs happen to be Christian. When it comes to attacking Christians, no blow is too low in the eyes of Hollywood. Lady Gaga showed this once again this past weekend when she went on a tirade against Pence over reports that his wife has taken a job teaching at an evangelical Christian school that does not allow LGBTQ teachers or students.

“To Mike Pence, who thinks it’s acceptable that his wife work at a school that bans LGBTQ: You are wrong,” Lady Gaga said, according to Fox News.

“’You say we should not discriminate against Christianity — you are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian,” added the singer who was just nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress on Tuesday morning.

“I am a Christian woman and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome,” Lady Gaga concluded. “So you can take all that disgrace Mr. Pence and you can look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there.”

Can you imagine what would have happened had Lady Gaga attacked a Muslim in this way? All Hell would have broken loose immediately and she would have faced tons of backlash. Since Lady Gaga went after Pence’s Christian beliefs, however, she has faced virtually no backlash whatsoever.

It’s despicable that Lady Gaga would attack Pence’s Christian faith in this way. Who does she think she is telling someone else what it means to be a Christian? The last time I checked, only God can tell anyone what being a good Christian really means, and Lady Gaga most certainly is not God. Lady Gaga should stick to what she knows, which is performing cheesy pop songs for teenagers and leave Christians like the Vice President alone.
