Disney Producer Should Be Blacklisted for Tweet About Covington Kids

A producer of Disney’s 2017 remake of Beauty and the Beast has apologized after he posted a tweet calling for the MAGA-hat wearing Covington High students to be “thrown in the woodchipper.”

Daily Wire reported that producer Jack Morrissey joined the mainstream media in demonizing the students, who have since been exonerated of any wrongdoing by video footage, with his grotesque tweet.

“#MAGAkids go screaming, hats first, into the woodchipper,” Morissey tweeted alongside a graphic image from the film Fargo that can be seen here.

Sarah Palin responded to shame him for this disgrace.

“Don’t tell me this is THEE Jack Morrissey. “Famed” Disney producer Morrissey? Dear Lord…”

Morrissey tried to backtrack on Monday by issuing a statement in which he claimed he was only joking. Right, because calling for high school kids to be brutally murdered is SO funny!

It was something that I did not give any thought to. It was just a fast, profoundly stupid tweet. … I would throw my phone into the ocean before doing that again.

Yesterday I tweeted an image based on FARGO that was meant to be satirical — as always — but I see now that it was in bad taste I offended many people — My sincerest apologies. I would never sincerely suggest violence against others, especially kids. Lesson learned.

I have no issue whatsoever with taking responsibility, but also completely apologizing that I clearly intended it to be seen as satire. That was clearly not recorded that way by many who saw it.

When reporters questioned Morrissey about whether or not he has since changed his mind about the Covington students after lengthier video footage of the incident in question showed that they did nothing wrong, he responded, “I have seen tweets from both sides feeling disappointed that the mainstream media went this way or that way. But I haven’t had the headspace to take the time to watch all the videos.”

So this liberal expects us to believe that he can’t find the strength to watch the video below, yet he can call for children to be thrown into woodchippers?!

It’s sickening that Disney has employed a man who would so thoughtlessly call for the brutal murder of children simply because they aren’t ashamed to support our president. Of course, since Morrissey went after Trump supporters, don’t expect him to suffer any career consequences in Hollywood. In fact, his IMDB page states that he has a new star-studded movie called The Good Liar coming out later this year!

If a conservative in Hollywood had ever called for supporters of Barack Obama to be murdered, he or she would immediately have been blacklisted. In contrast, in the eyes of Hollywood, calling for Trump-supporting children to be killed is totally acceptable. No wonder so many Americans have turned their back on Hollywood in disgust these days!
