Beth Chapman Becomes a Great-Grandmother as Cancer Battle Continues

Beth Chapman, the wife of “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Duane Chapman, just got some much-needed good news amidst her cancer battle. She is now a great-grandmother!

People reported that Beth took to Instagram on Friday to reveal the news to her fans.

“My first great grand baby he’s adorable and he’s precious and he came 5 weeks early to meet me,” Beth wrote alongside images of the newborn.

“Nothing more beautiful or inspiring than the birth of a new baby. A new Generation Of Chapman’s you will be an amazing father I’m very proud of you,” she continued, referring to her grandson Dakota Chapman, 23, the baby’s father.

Beth also made sure to congratulate Dakota’s dad Leland Chapman, 42, on his “first grand baby.”

“It just gets better,” Beth told him.

Beth’s difficult battle with cancer

This comes as Beth continues to fight for her life in a battle with “incurable” cancer. The 51-year-old learned back in November that her throat cancer had returned just over one year after she beat it into remission the first time. Doctors found that the cancer was back during surgery to remove a blockage from Beth’s throat, and by the time they caught it, the cancer had already spread to her lungs.

Though doctors have told Beth that her cancer is “incurable,” she has made it clear that she intends to fight it with everything she has. She is currently receiving chemotherapy treatments and is keeping her fans updated on her progress via her Instagram page.

Beth is also working on a new reality show with her husband called “Dog’s Most Wanted,” which will feature her cancer treatments as a major storyline.

Beth’s husband Duane has been there to support her every step of the way through her difficult battle with cancer. Though it’s been hard on him as well, Duane explained that he honors his wedding vows above all else and will support her no matter what.

“When we made a pledge many years ago, I said I’d love her in sickness and in health until death do us part,” Duane said. “And that truth has really, really come alive in my mind. And I have to stand on that; I gave her an oath that I would love her forever. And thank God it’s not till death do us part at this point.”
