david webb areva martin white privilege

These days, CNN personalities love making absolutely everything about race. This constant race-baiting just came back to bite one CNN analyst in a big way, however, when she accused the wrong person of having “white privilege.”

Fox News reported that it all started during a Sirius XM interview on Tuesday between Fox Nation host David Webb and CNN analyst Areva Martin.

“I’ve chosen to cross different parts of the media world, done the work so that I’m qualified to be in each one. I never considered my color the issue, I considered my qualifications the issue,” Webb began.

“That’s a whole, another long conversation about white privilege, the things that you have the privilege of doing, that people of color don’t have the privilege of,” Martin replied.

“How do I have the privilege of white privilege?” asked a stunned Webb.

“David, by virtue of being a white male you have white privilege,” the CNN personality said.

“I hate to break it to you, but you should’ve been better prepped. I’m black,” Webb fired back.

Ouch, that’s got to hurt for Martin!

The CNN personality immediately tried to backpedal by awkwardly apologizing and trying to blame her team for giving her “wrong information” but Webb was not about to let her off the hook.

“That’s actually insulting,” Webb said.

On Wednesday morning, Webb appeared on “Fox & Friends” to blast Martin for her race-baiting error.

“There is no such thing as white privilege,” Webb said, adding that Martin should be ashamed of herself for using an “easy, false narrative” in trying to make her argument.

“Our skin… doesn’t think, it doesn’t formulate ideas. Let’s look at it that way and go back to the ideas in our head, the ideas in our mind and the things we need to discuss,” Webb continued. He went on to say that if he accused a black liberal of having white privilege, there would have been mass outrage from the left.

“It would be, calls for firing, they would be pressuring advertisers. The machine on the left would have gone into full-blown action,” he said. “They would have demanded that I be thrown off Fox.”

This just goes to show that there is a major downside to making everything about race. The left loves to bring up “white privilege” as a way of silencing white conservatives, and they are willing to use this tactic even when they are not sure that the person they are speaking to is actually white. It also shows how quick people are to make assumptions these days without having all the facts. Perhaps Martin should do a little research first before she tries to silence someone else with her race-baiting ways!
