Andrade Tells Wrestlers To Avoid WWE

– If anyone missed SmackDown, make sure you go back and watch Andrade vs. Rey Mysterio as they have an early candidate for match of the year. Since joining the main roster, Andrade has been given a decent push that sees him float close to the main event scene.

Despite Andrade’s spot, he seems to be unhappy with WWE. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Andrade told top names such as Rush and Dragon Lee that WWE is not the place people make it seem to be. WWE had shown interest in signing both superstars.

Rush was a major player in CMLL, wining several different titles. Only a few days ago, he officially signed with Ring of Honor (ROH). As for Dragon Lee, he was named Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s rookie of the year in 2014 and also made a name for himself in CMLL. He made a few appearances for ROH and has competed for New Japan Pro Wrestling since 2017.

Andrade arrived to NXT and got a decent push before falling into a slump. Once Andrade was paired with Zelina Vega, his career went on the rise. He would capture the NXT Championship from Drew McIntyre before dropping the title to Aleister Black and then quickly joining the SmackDown brand.

With All Elite Wrestling makes lots of noise, promotions such as WWE are trying to secure more superstars and for longer deals.

– Former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA is expected to be joining NXT in a matter of weeks. He already told the press that he plans on leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) once his contract expires on January 31. He will wrestle his last match there on January 29 against Hiroshi Tanahashi.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that KUSHIDA and NJPW had issues over creative control. KUSHIDA wanted to turn heel and join the Bullet Club, but the promotion declined the suggestion; which led to him not re-signing. Still, KUSHIDA and NJPW are not leaving on the worst of terms.
