Tim Allen Mocks Liberals for Their Poor Sense of Humor

While every liberal comedian has spent the last two years mocking conservatives and Donald Trump in every way imaginable, one of Hollywood’s few conservative comedians gets a real kick out of turning the tables on the left.

And Tim Allen doesn’t hold anything back.

“I like to mess around because I’ve been a standup fiery comic for 30 years. And I like pissing people off, and I said there’s nothing, especially in this area, that pisses people off more than a very funny conservative,” Allen told Indie Wire in a recent interview. “A smart, funny conservative that takes shots and is certainly self-effacing.”

“The left-wing point of view is so pervasive that they don’t even realize it’s a point of view. It is just a point of view. I think this character likes that, he likes to have another point of view,” Allen said regarding his character Mike Baxter on the popular show “Last Man Standing.”

Allen made some distinctions between his own views and that of his character.

“I did an interview and I said, ‘Are you asking Mike Baxter this question because you heard something about the Clintons that the writers had written?’ Now, I’ll put something behind it, because I think it’s funny to make fun of people that are full of themselves,” Allen said.

“Liberals have a very small window of sense of humor about themselves, so I love poking at it.”

Allen notes just how closed-minded most on the left are. You can tell how proud he is of his character Mike Baxter for pushing the mold the left is trying to cram everyone into. Allen clearly sees Baxter as an important figure on television and it’s obvious a lot of America agrees with him as the ratings speak for themselves. Hopefully, the success of shows like “Roseanne” and “Last Man Standing” are beginning to prove to Hollywood that there is not just one point of view in this country and ignoring those of us who think differently will prove too costly for them.
