Smackdown Live: 8 pm EST

Shane McMahon and Paige come out to the ring and introduce Daniel Bryan as the leader of the men’s Survivor Series team. Before Bryan can make his way through his acceptance speech, The Miz’s music hits and he comes out, limping down the aisle as he starts cutting his promo. Miz says that “Best in the World” trophy Shane won at Crown Jewel is actually 2/3rds his. So together they are the “Best in the World” or “Besties” even.

Miz says that after his performance, he clearly deserves to be the SS team captain. Shane agrees. Miz is captain. Miz celebrates but Shane has more to add. Bryan, says Shane, is also captain. They are co-captains. Miz protests as Bryan starts a “Yes” chant with the crowd as Miz frowns.

Backstage, The Miz and Daniel Bryan are trying to dispute Shane and Paige’s decision to pair them together. Shane says they bring out the best in each other, despite their differences, and their team needs that. The two agree that Shane can count on them. Shane says they need to pick three other guys for their team by the end of the night. Miz suggests Shane be the first and Shane demurs. However, Bryan actually agrees with Miz… so Shane accepts.

Tag Team Match: The Usos vs. The New Day

The Usos get control early and maintain it. Through the commercial break. Finally Big E tags in and comes in hot as he batters Jimmy Uso with a belly-to-belly suplex and a yurinagi. E looks for the Big Ending but Jey Uso gets involved. Jey goes for a big splash but E counters with a Big Ending. He pins. 1-2-… but Jimmy saves the day. E looks for a spear but Jey moves and E flips out to the floor at ringside. E is up and angry now though, as he drives Jimmy into the barricade.

E ends up getting knocked into the time-keepers area but then Kofi Kingston comes flying off the top rope onto both Usos. Back in the ring and Kofi gets a 2-count on Jey. Kofi hits a big cross-body off the top and gets another near-fall as it cuts to commercial.

Back again and Big E spears Jey through the ropes to the floor. Kofi gets a 2-count on Jimmy. Jimmy counters Kofi’s offense with a powerbomb off the top rope. Then Jimmy hits a Frog Splash and gets the 3-count. The Usos are the captains of the tag team Survivor Series match.

Winners: The Usos

After the match, The Usos give New Day props and ask them to be the first pick on their team. The New Day agrees and they all shake hands.

Backstage, Bryan tells Miz his first pick is Rey Mysterio. Miz tries to dispute it but Bryan reminds him of everyone he’s beaten since returning… including Miz himself. Bryan also suggests that instead of the two of them fighting over who the picks should be, they should each pick someone and have the two fight for the spot. Miz says he actually likes that idea and the two smile at each other. Then they both acknowledge how weird that friendly moment was…

Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch comes out to the ring. She addresses Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. Becky says she wasn’t hand-picked to be the champ like Rousey was… but there she is all the same. Becky doesn’t care if Rousey is the “Baddest bitch on the planet” because Becky is going to make Rousey hers. Becky then says she wants a fight right now and calls out anyone in the back who is brave enough.

SAnitY comes out and ends up introducing Nikki Cross, who comes out wild and crazed. Becky asks who she thinks she is and Cross says, crazily, that she’ll play with Becky. Becky says she doesn’t play, she fights.

Singles Match: Becky Lynch vs. Nikki Cross

Cross puts up a fight but Becky takes her out ultimately with the Disarm Her.

Winner: Becky Lynch

Singles Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas

Almas has success early but Mysterio starts to make his comeback. Almas has another burst as he hits double-knees on Mysterio in the corner and gets a near-fall. Almas goes for a moonsault but Mysterio rolls away. Almas adjusts in midair, lands on his feet and goes for the standing-moonsault. Mysterio gets his knees up and Almas clutches his gut. Mysterio goes on the offensive as he beats Almas on the outside of the ring. Mysterio hits a 619 and drops a dime for the win.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

After the match, Randy Orton sails in with an RKO out of nowhere on Mysterio.

Paige comes out and introduces Carmella as the first member of the women’s Survivor Series team. She comes out with R-Truth. Then Paige brings out Naomi. Then Sonya Deville. Asuka is next. Finally, Charlotte Flair is introduced as the final member of the team… but Charlotte fails to appear. Instead, Mandy Rose comes out. Rose says she’s confused about Paige’s decision-making skills. Rose was the one who eliminated Deville in the Evolution battle royal… but, of course, she’s really happy for her friend Sonya either way.

Then Rose talks smack about all the other members of the team, until Naomi rushes her on the attack. Rose comes face-to-face with Deville, but she ducks out of the ring and leaves angrily as Deville looks on after her with a confused countenance.

Survivor Series Qualifier: Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe

Miz chose Joe and Bryan chose Jeff to compete for the spot. Joe comes out aggressively and batters Jeff in the corner. Jeff counters and hits a Whisper in the Wind for a 2-count. Joe gets back in it as he levels Jeff with a shot. Commercial break.

Back again and Joe is taking it to Jeff. He hits a step-up enziguri in the corner. Joe puts Jeff down with a snap mare and then slaps on a head-and-neck submission. Jeff tries to fight out of it but Joe tosses him to the outside. Joe throws Jeff into the barricade but then Jeff fires back with a flying clothesline off the barricade. Back in the ring and Jeff gets a 2-count. Miz and Bryan argue with each other at the announce desk.

Jeff looks for the Coquina Clutch but Jeff returns with a Twist of Fate. Jeff goes to the top rope for a Swanton Bomb and he leaps. Joe gets his knees up and then he locks the Coquina Clutch onto Jeff, forcing the tap out.

Winner: Samoa Joe

After the match, Samoa Joe steps into Bryan’s face and taunts him. Bryan goes on the attack and they battle up into the ring. Bryan gets Joe in a Yes Lock and Miz runs in and breaks them up. Bryan attacks him and Shane McMahon runs in to pull Bryan off… but Bryan flips him onto the mat as well. The whole Smackdown Survivor Series team looks at Bryan with apprehensions as he leaves up the aisle.
