Smackdown Live: 8 pm EST

Show opens up and Smackdown General Manager Paige brings out Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. She says she’s putting herself back in the game, despite her injury, because she’s done watching from the sidelines. She had to watch Charlotte Flair’s vicious attack on Ronda Rousey after being unable to defeat her at Survivor Series. She calls Charlotte to come out and face her. Charlotte’s music hits and she comes out to the ring smiling cockily. The crowd chants Becky’s name.

Paige announces that the two of them will have a TLC match against each other at TLC. Then the rest of the women’s roster comes out to interrupt. They all have something to say about how they’ve all been getting looked over for title shots against the champ. Becky says she’d knock the heads off of all of them. Paige says she loves to see this passion. She announces that all the women will compete in a battle royal tonight and the winner will join Becky and Charlotte’s match at TLC.

Former WWE Champion AJ Styles comes out to the ring to address WWE Champion Daniel Bryan’s low-blow tactics to win the title off him. Styles says Bryan isn’t there tonight. Seems he’s been watching Raw for tips on how to conduct himself as champ. But this isn’t Raw, this is Smackdown – the house that AJ Styles built. Come TLC, Styles will take his title back.

Rusev is about to take on United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura but Nakamura attacks him from behind and hits him with a couple Kinshasas before the match can get underway.

Jeff Hardy comes out to celebrate his 20th anniversary as part of Smackdown. The whole roster stands on the main stage as a video package is played. The crowd chants his name as he collects his thoughts. Jeff finally thanks everyone. He says he can’t believe he did half of those crazy moments shown in the video. Jeff says he’s had the highest of highs and lowest of lows and through it all the fans have stuck with him. The crowd chants, “Thank you Hardy!”

Jeff says he doesn’t know what the future has in store, but says to the fans: “Why don’t we find out together!” The crowd cheers. Then Samoa Joe comes out to crap all over the party. Joe says he was backstage thinking of coming out to celebrate and have a few drinks, but drinks around Jeff probably aren’t the best idea. The crowd boos and Shane McMahon tries to step in but Jeff waves him off and says to let Joe speak. Joe says it makes him sick that Jeff has made so many mistakes and still he allows himself to be put up on this pedestal.

Joe says he has a cure for Jeff’s demons, and he promises it’s not painless. Jeff says Joe can’t rain on his parade tonight, but if Joe wants some he can come get some right now. Joe steps forward… but then turns and heads to the back. Jeff shrugs it off and continues celebrating with the audience as his music plays.

Singles Match: Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz

They go back and forth. Miz ends up spiking Kofi with a DDT for a 2-count. Then Miz takes off the turnbuckle pad. As he sets up to use it against Kofi, Big E jumps up on the apron and puts a stack of pancakes in front of the exposed turnbuckle. Miz becomes distracted with the other New Day members at ringside and Kofi seizes the opening and picks up the victory with Trouble In Paradise.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

Randy Orton comes to the ring carrying Rey Mysterio’s mask, which he took last week. People were very offended, he says, but Orton never understood what the big deal was about that piece of trash mask. He never studied Luchador history because he never cared. Orton wanted to embarrass Rey by what he did to him; to tear down that which the fans have held up on such a pedestal. Then Rey comes out and the two start to scrap. Orton starts to batter Rey again but then Rey starts fighting back.

Rey hits Orton with a 619 and then he goes to get a steel chair from ringside. Orton catches Rey on his way back into the ring and spikes him with a Draping DDT. Orton takes Rey out and throws him into the barricade. He yanks Rey to his feet by his mask and holds the steel chair against the steel steps. Then he throws Rey’s throat into the top of it. Officials come out to try and get Orton away from Rey as it cuts to commercial.

Battle Royal to join Smackdown Women’s Title Match at TLC

It comes down to Sonya Deville and Asuka. They battle hard over the victory and end up fighting on the apron, both women teetering. They both kick each other hard in the face and hang from the ropes. But it’s Asuka who ends up landing a knee and knocking Deville to the floor. Asuka will now make the third in a Triple Threat TLC match with champ Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
