There is some good news for anyone who was looking forward to the match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series this weekend. Both women built up a rivalry that had fans salivating at the possibilities, only for Becky to be struck down with a concussion and broken nose.
Despite the fact we will not see Ronda Rousey versus Becky Lynch at Survivor Series, The Wrestling Observer reports that Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey will face each other at WrestleMania 35.
Decision Made by Vince McMahon and Ronda Rousey
According to Dave Meltzer from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision to move the match to WrestleMania was made by both Vince McMahon and Ronda Rousey. Shortly after the decision was made, Ronda and Becky continued to goad each other on social media. So, the rivalry between the pair seems far from over.
“Vince McMahon and Rousey decided that the best course of action was to do the match at WrestleMania. Rousey and Lynch immediately went at it hard on social media, even though Rousey’s new opponent on the PPV is Charlotte Flair.” – Dave Meltzer
Becky and Ronda Could Headline WrestleMania 35!
Meltzer reported how the match between Becky and Ronda is being moved to WrestleMania, but he also mentioned there could be a high chance for both women to wrestle the main event. How great would this be for Becky? Someone who has been wrestling for so long and has gotten few opportunities. While her current injury put her out for now, it could turn out to be advantageous for her due to the amazing promos she has been doing with Ronda.
Becky is a great pick to headline WrestleMania, but so is Ronda Rousey. Many people doubted the fact that Ronda could make the transition from MMA to the WWE, but she did! In fact, she did not only make the transition, she exceeded everyone’s expectations by having a natural talent for the business.
Each week, we see Ronda Rousey improving tremendously. She regularly puts on new moves in the wrestling ring and clearly her training sessions with Natalia have paid off in a major way. Becky is also shining thanks to her new persona, which is compared by many to Stone Cold Steve Austin. I cannot wait to see what the future brings for them both!
