As if Crown Jewel was not bad enough, the WWE has to hit loyal fans in the proverbial crown jewels once more. Recent reports at MMA Mania indicate Brock Lesnar will not be returning to the UFC after all, hinting at a more permanent position in the WWE for some time to come.

Lesnar’s Contract Extension

While it was originally reported Brock Lesnar had signed for an additional two matches with the WWE, his actual contract may be more extensive than that.

Lesnar reportedly got offered a new contract by Vince McMahon after it was revealed Roman Reigns would be out for a considerable amount of time. The new contract offered to Lesnar was reported on MMA Fighting as well as other media sources.

Secret Details

The details on Brock’s latest contract are not that widely known. However, various media sources claim the contract entails a total of two matches, something we reported on a couple of days ago. As we mentioned previously, a two-match deal could mean we would only see Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series and WrestleMania 35.

Brock Lesnar could be in for a longer title reign than first thought. The secret of his contract also makes many people speculate he may have obtained a longer term WWE contract, making his return to the MMA less likely. The next few weeks will be intsrumental in determining how long Brock will stay around and how often he will appear.

Will He Be Making an Effort?

I am not beyond giving someone a second chance. A second title reign could give Brock the opportunity to redeem himself in the eyes of the WWE Universe. Unfortunately, up to the point of this article, I have not seen much change compared to his previous reign. Still, it is still early days, so I am hoping his current title reign will be better than the previous one.

Brock Lesnar is scheduled to take on AJ Styles at Survivor Series. While it will not be a title defense, it does guarantee an appearance for the current WWE Universal Champion at the next pay-per-view. The plans for Brock after Survivor Series are not that clear, so we have to wait and see what the future brings.

Despite being willing to give the WWE another chance, I am not sure all fans are as willing, especially after the entire Crown Jewel debacle. I am still quite horrified by the whole ordeal to be honest and it is not something that most of us will forgive anytime soon. The ball is in the hands of the WWE now and hopefully they will do right by their fans for once.
