Dog The Bounty Hunter

Fans are praying for the wife of Duane Chapman, better known as “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” after she got some truly terrible news this week.

Fox News reported that Beth Chapman was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. Hours later, the Chapmans’ attorney Andrew Brettler confirmed that the 51 year-old’s cancer was back and that it was “serious.”

“Unfortunately, Beth’s cancer has come back. It’s serious and her doctors are evaluating her treatment options,” he said.

Beth had been having trouble breathing the night before, and it was only when she got to the hospital that doctors found the mass in her throat. She immediately underwent surgery to allow doctors to remove the blockage, which is when they discovered that the cancer had returned.

This comes a year after Beth was first diagnosed with Stage 2 throat cancer. At the time, she opened up about how shaken she was when she heard this news in an open letter to friends and fans:

“I’ve been dealt my share of unexpected blows over the course of my almost fifty years but nothing as serious as the one I heard from my doctors two weeks ago when they uttered those dreaded three words, ‘You have cancer.'”

After months of a nagging cough, a routine checkup resulted in a diagnosis of stage II throat cancer. I have what is referred to as a T2 Tumor in my throat that is blocking my breathing. My doctors are suggesting immediate treatment and surgery before the disease progresses.”

By the end of 2017, Beth was in remission, and she was hoping that she had seen the last of her cancer. Unfortunately, however, it seems to be back with a vengeance.

Dog the Bounty Hunter says their faith is getting them through

Beth’s diagnosis has also been hard on her husband Duane, who she has been married to since 2006. After Beth’s initial diagnosis, Duane said that their Christian faith was giving them strength during the difficult time.

“Faith is probably the number one thing in our lives, no matter what we’re faced with… Through this cancer episode, we had to drum up as much faith as we could. And the bible talks about having faith as small as a mustard seed. And that’s not much… And I thank God that we had at least that much faith to get her through that.”

At just 51, Beth is far too young to be dealing with such a serious health situation. She has so much life left to live, so we can only hope and pray that she is able to beat this cancer. Stay strong, Beth, we’re all pulling for you!
