These Feuds Now Possible with Rey Mysterio on SmackDown Live!

Being a lifetime Rey Mysterio fan, I was more excited than anything to see him return to the WWE. Even though I was following him at Lucha Underground and the indies, there are some interesting new feuds that could happen due to his return to SmackDown. Here are some of my personal favorites.

Shinsuke Nakamura

I know the pair already had a fight, with Shinsuke taking the fall for Rey Mysterio’s return. The short fight did get me excited for a feud between the two. Let’s face it, Shinsuke is not being used at the moment, so what better way to elevate him a little than with a Rey Mysterio feud?

Sanity

Another team that has been neglected on the SmackDown roster is Sanity. However, their matches in NXT prove that they provide quality entertainment, so a feud with Rey Mysterio would make total sense. It also allows for some non-used faces to side with Mysterio during this feud.

Andrade Cien Almas

Considering the shared Mexican background, I believe Cien Almas would be an amazing choice for a feud with the King of the Luchadors. Zelina Vega could also fuel this rivalry through her interference, which makes things even more exciting for me as a fan.

Rusev

Even though he is currently having his feud with Aiden English, a feud with Rey Mysterio somewhere down the line is certainly something I am interested in. Rusev makes a brilliant heel, and with Lana by his side again they could become an unstoppable force of evil.

Samoa Joe

When you need a good promo and some excitement for an upcoming feud, it does not get any better or more twisted than Samoa Joe. The feud with AJ Styles was nothing short of brilliant, so maybe a feud with Rey Mysterio is in the cards in the nearby future?

AJ Styles

Talking about dream matches for Rey Mysterio, I cannot forget to mention the builder of SmackDown, Mr AJ Styles. It would be interesting to see what Styles and Rey bring to the table in a feud, especially because the pair have such similar “styles,” no pun intended.
