Drew McIntyre's WrestleMania 35 Role

– Drew McIntyre had a bit of a rough time on last night’s Monday Night RAW. He did not score a win against Seth Rollins, which meant an opportunity lost to participate in Crown Jewel’s WWE World Cup bout, and he was at the helm of his faction split with Braun Strowman and Dolph Ziggler.

The silver lining in it all? Well, the live Monday Night RAW crowd reacted very well to McIntrye’s turn, and he never lost clean to Rollins, with him getting counted out, so things are looking up for Drew when you put things into perspective.

In all seriousness, Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer commented on Drew, stating that the WWE still has some major plans for the superstar, which would explain why he was “protected” during his match last night with Seth Rollins. In fact, Meltzer compared McIntyre to Randy Orton, as Drew seems to have everything that Vince McMahon wants in a ‘top guy’: from his good look, to his mic work, and physique. Dave relayed that he’s like Randy Orton in the respect that he exemplifies the perfect protype on what the company looks for in high-level talent.

The WWE Universe will have to wait and see, as this is Drew’s second-time around, with his first run with the company turning into a massive flop. Still, it’s hard to ignore just how well he was protected during last night’s match with Rollins and that his Claymore Kick knocked the unstoppable Braun Strowman down, ending his current stable run on a huge high note.

– It was a pleasant surprise last night on Monday Night RAW for many WWE fans when the company revealed that a Battle Royal was set for the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view Evolution, airing on the WWE Network at the end of October; however, the fans weren’t the only ones that were “surprised” by the announcement.  The RAW female talent may have notified of the Evolution Battle Royal mere hours before the show aired, and Fightful is reporting that the SmackDown female superstars learned about the match as they were watching the show.

Some SD LIVE women showed a little bit of attitude, as such, via social media handles: in particular, The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce), as well as Lana, and former SD LIVE Women’s Champion, Naomi. Torrie Wilson and current RAW superstar Dana Brooke also appeared in social media comments regarding the match; however, those seemed a little more upbeat than the others.
