Barbra Streisand Threatens to Leave US if Republicans Win Midterms

Before the 2016 presidential election, many Hollywood liberal elites were so cocky that Hillary Clinton would win that they threatened to leave the country if Trump came out victorious. When Trump did indeed win, however, virtually none of these liberal stars actually followed through with their promises to leave the United States.

Barbra Streisand was one of these stars who swore up and down that she would flee the U.S. if Trump became president, yet she remains here to this day. Now, with the midterms less than a week away, Streisand is once again threatening to leave the country if Republicans win.

Fox News reported that Streisand, 76, spoke out this week to say that she is thinking about moving to Canada if the GOP wins the House next week.

“I want to sleep nights, if we take the House I’ll be able to sleep a little bit better,” Streisand said, adding that she’s “thinking about” a potential move.

“I’ve been thinking about, do I want to move to Canada?” she said. “I don’t know. I’m just so saddened by this thing happening to our country.”

Streisand Says Trump Made Her Fat.

Streisand went on to conveniently blame Trump and his supporters for making her gain weight.

“It’s making me fat,” Streisand whined. “I hear what he said now, and I have to go eat pancakes now, and pancakes are very fattening. We make them with healthy flour, though — almond flour, coconut flour.”

So now Trump is responsible for people gaining weight?! It never ceases to amaze what liberals will blame on the current president.

Streisand Made a Similar Threat In 2016.

Back in 2016, Streisand made similar comments about leaving the U.S. due to Trump. When asked about a potential Trump victory by an Australian news outlet, Streisand said, “I’m either coming to your country — if you’ll let me in — or Canada.”

Unfortunately for us, Streisand is still here.

Other celebrities that threatened to leave America if Trump won in 2016 include Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, and Lena Dunham, yet they all remain here. The reason behind this is that despite how much Streisand and her liberal elites bash the U.S., they know deep down that they have it good here, and that they would be far worse off anywhere else. Perhaps it’s time for them to do some soul searching and start focusing on how lucky they are to be here, rather than anything negative about our country that they can find.
