Woman Never Expected The Reason UPS Wouldn’t Deliver Her Package

UPS drivers have many bizarre encounters. They have to deal with territorial dogs, rude drivers, and harsh weather conditions. Typically, they are very reliable getting packages delivered on time. But, a North Carolina UPS driver was unable to complete his mission for a very hilarious reason.

Marcy Lanier got a note from a UPS driver concerning the package she was expecting. The note was in her mailbox as the deliveryman wasn’t about to go anywhere near her home for a good reason. Turns out, Marcy would have to wait for her package because there was a bear in her driveway.

She saw the humor in receiving such a message as it’s certainly not something you expect to hear. She posted it on Facebook where others laughed at the rather unusual reason for a delayed delivery. Over 3,500 people have shared the post about the bear.

“Like I say. Only in Asheville!” she told her friends when she shared a picture of the UPS form.

There were plenty of hilarious replies from people. One wrote, “No worries, it’s just the guard bear.”

A UPS driver commented on the post about a funny and alarming situation he encountered with an animal during a delivery.

“I drive for UPS where I live and a few months ago I couldn’t deliver a package because a goat that lived at the address I was attempting to deliver kept trying to ram me,” Jimmy Love shared. “He wouldn’t let me get to the front porch and he also rammed the front bumper of my truck when I was leaving. One of the funniest situations I’ve ever come across while working.”

UPS drivers never know what they are going to encounter. If there is a wild animal in your driveway, you have to have some patience and bear with the deliveryman.
