kate mara national anthem

Kate Mara is a Hollywood actress who is best known for her roles in television shows like “House of Cards” and movies like The Fantastic Four. What you may not know about Mara is that her family co-owns the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers. That’s why it came as an unwelcome surprise when Mara blatantly turned on the NFL by throwing her support behind the players who have chosen to kneel during the national anthem.

Fox News reported that Mara said that she supported the players’ decision, “whatever that might be.”

“I believe everybody has a constitutional right to stand, or kneel or sit during the national anthem,” the actress said.

Mara is the great-granddaughter of Giants founder Tim Mara and Steelers founder Art Rooney, and she is the niece of Giants co-owner John Mara, who helped to make the NFL’s current national anthem policy that allows teams to fine players who aren’t on the field and standing for the “Star-Spangled Banner.” We can’t imagine that he is very happy that his niece has now turned on him in front of the entire nation.

Even Mara herself admitted that she has felt close ties to the Giants for her entire life.

“It reminds me of my childhood,” she said. “Going to a Giants game in New York with my family on a Sunday to me that is the normal way and the most comforting way because you’re surrounded by family, and love, and a lot of passion.”

It’s sad that Mara felt the need to blatantly turn on her family just so she could submit to Hollywood liberals who have been supporting the anthem kneelers from the very beginning. Mara and her fellow liberals don’t seem to understand that when NFL players kneel for the anthem, they are essentially telling veterans that all of the sacrifices they made for our flag do not matter.

In the end, all Mara has shown with these comments is that she is just another out of touch liberal Hollywood personality!
