Chris Pratt isn’t afraid to be himself. The A-lister doesn’t bend to Hollywood’s cultural demands and that’s why so many of us love him. He even regularly proclaims his faith at award shows! Now, his brother is speaking out about the family’s Christian faith in a refreshing way that completely defies Tinseltown’s culture.
Cully Pratt had a very honest conversation about Chris on “The Billy Hallowell Podcast.” He validated that the Chris we have seen praise God in front of millions is not performing. He truly believes in Jesus and lives a Christian-centered life which grounds him in the face of Hollywood debauchery.
The older brother reports the Jurassic Park star is an open book regarding his faith and is regularly willing to share his love for the Lord with others.
“He really stands behind everything that he believes and values and I respect that the most about him,” Cully said.
Religion and the arts are important to the Pratt family. Cully, who is an Army veteran and police officer, is also an artist. He combines his faith and creative abilities in his art. When he gave Chris a dump tray featuring Jesus and Philippians 4:13, the star shared it on Instagram.
Cully was suddenly flooded with orders after his younger brother’s fans were so moved by the beautiful Christian piece that reads, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
In addition to catapulting Cully’s business, Chris shared the family’s love of Christ with his 21 million followers. Some of them may have never been truly exposed to Jesus’ message before.
Chris has been very successful, in part, because he’s very relatable to everyday people. He is not pretentious like many Hollywood stars and he’s not afraid to show his true colors to the world.
“[Chris] has got something really, really, really incredible about him and it’s not just the fact he’s a funny guy or a tall, good-looking guy,” the older Pratt brother said. “Everybody can kind of look at that and figure that out. He’s just kind of got that ‘it’ factor and he’s always had it from the time he [was] a child.”
