The Royals Have A Plan To Deal With Meghan’s Dad

Meghan Markle’s family continues being a thorn in her side. He hasn’t met a television camera that he doesn’t want to air his dirty laundry to. This puts the Royal Family in a tricky situation.

Thomas Markle claims he wants to be accepted by the Royal Family and be reunited with his daughter, but he keeps digging himself further into a hole talking to the press and even slamming Meghan’s in-laws at times. This has proven to be extremely embarrassing for the Royal Family as they traditionally have not dealt with family rifts in this manner.

Many have wondered how the Royal Family will respond to this ongoing problem. There is concern that if Meghan does contact her father, he might tell the press whatever she says. He has created a complete breakdown in trust which has made a reunion unlikely in the foreseeable future. It also has left the Royal Family to determine how to handle the problem he’s created with public relations. But, they have a plan!

“The strategy at Kensington Palace, I understand, is, ‘Say nothing, don’t dignify these comments, these interviews, these articles with a response,'” Royal expert Katie Nicholl said. “The royal family has had more than their fair share of scandals. This won’t faze them.”

Meghan has asked her father not to talk to the press, but he continues. This puts her in an unusual position because she can’t respond on social media and it would be inappropriate for her to respond to her father on television. But Thomas Markle isn’t doing himself any favors.

“I think the fact that he has continually spoken, he is not respecting her wish that he just stays quiet, [and that] has probably upset her more than anything else and possibly made a reconciliation from Meghan’s point of view almost impossible now,” Nicholl continued. “I don’t think there are any concrete plans at the moment for Meghan to go out and see her father. I don’t even believe they have spoken on the phone since the day of the royal wedding.”

The Royal Family has been supportive of Meghan and has accepted her completely. They are encouraging her to ride it out and not let this affect her. Time will tell if she reunites with her father, but if he continues exploiting his daughter and her new family, it won’t be taking place at Kensington Palace.
