Gal Gadot might portray a superhero on the big screen, but the children she visited at a Virginia hospital over the weekend likely think that she’s really Wonder Woman.
The Israeli actress visited Inova Children’s Hospital in Annadale wearing her outfit from the upcoming movie Wonder Woman 1984. The movie is currently in production in Washington, DC. During a break from filming, Gadot took the opportunity to bring smiles to the faces of some very sick children and the staff that cares for them. She swooped in and lifted the spirits of children who are currently at the hospital.

Karalyne Sahady is battling leukemia and has been stuck in the hospital for 5 of the 7 months of her little life! Expecting just another day of testing and taking care of her child, Karalyne’s mother was shocked to see Wonder Woman walk through their door.
“I was in our room with one of our many doctors while Karalyne was hooked up to IV antibiotics, when in walked Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, in full costume,” Karalyne’s mom, Kelly Swink Sahady said. “She had a huge smile on her face and walked right over to me. She asked if she could hold Karalyne and scooped her right into her arms.”

Hospital employees were just as excited to see the Wonder Woman actress as the kids were. “Thank you SO MUCH for visiting my patients and colleagues at #InovaChildrensHospital! Next time, can you align your visit with my call schedule?” on staff member tweeted.
Dr. Lucas Collozo was at work for the visit. He enthusiastically tweeted a picture of Gal Gadot with members of Inova staff.
Thank you @GalGadot for visiting us @InovaHealth Children’s Hospital. You are a true Wonder Woman. The kids loved it…and so did the staff 😉 #wonderwoman84 pic.twitter.com/EFDLM02rpf

This visit certainly lifted a lot of spirits. Gadot did this good deed on her own since the movie isn’t currently being marketed while it’s still being filmed. Wonder Woman 1984 is the sequel to the 2016 blockbuster Wonder Woman. It is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
