wynonna judd daughter jail

Country music legend Wynonna Judd has found herself in a difficult situation this week after her 22-year-old daughter was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Fox News reported that Grace Pauline Kelley was given this sentence for violating her probation back in November by leaving a drug recovery program. Over the past two years, Kelley has been in and out of prison in both Tennessee and Alabama for drug-related charges. She will be serving out her current sentence at the West Tennessee State Penitentiary.

Kelley has been having run-ins with the law since December of 2015, when she was arrested at a Walgreens in Nashville, Tennessee. Police found her with another man in a car with an improperly installed license plate in the parking lot of the drugstore. As officers approached the vehicle, a bag was thrown out of it that contained pseudoephedrine and a receipt for Coleman fuel, two ingredients that are used to make meth. Because of this, Kelley and the man were arrested on charges of meth manufacture promotion.

One year later, Kelley was arrested again and was cited as a fugitive from the law. Kelley, who is the daughter of Judd and her first husband Arch Kelley, pleaded guilty to cooking and selling meth in March of 2017 and was initially sentenced to a year in prison. However, this was commuted to 30 days in prison followed by a release to the Williamson County Detention Center, where she continued her court-ordered drug program.

“The defendant was terminated from the recovery court program on November 21, 2017,” said a spokesperson for Williamson County. “A warrant for probation violation was issued on November 22, 2017, and served on December 16, 2017.”

Kelley is not due to be released until 2025, but she could get out on parole as soon as 2019.

Kelley comes from a family full of stars, as her grandmother is singer Naomi Judd and her aunt is actress Ashley Judd. This just goes to show that even those who seem to have it all have family problems just like everyone else!

Please say a prayer for this young woman and for the entire Judd family during this difficult time!
